Lagos State University’s Distance Learning Arm Invites Applicants for Business Administration Degree
The Lagos State University (LASU), through its Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute (ODLRI), has officially commenced the sale of application forms for its B.Sc. Business Administration programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The LASU ODLRI, established by the university’s Senate and Council and approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), was designed to provide accessible, flexible, and high-quality education for Nigerians who are unable to attend conventional university programmes due to time constraints, work schedules, or limited admission slots.
In line with its mission, the institute aims to produce globally competitive graduates with strong research and entrepreneurial capabilities that align with 21st-century workforce demands.
Programme Details
Available Programme:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration
Duration:
- Four (4) years — equivalent to LASU’s standard full-time degree structure.
- Students engage in both academic coursework and research-based learning tailored for distance learners.
Mode of Learning:
- LASU ODLRI adopts a blended learning approach combining online lectures with occasional physical interactions.
- The system is user-friendly, fast, and designed to support students nationwide.
- Applicants should be comfortable using digital tools, as most course materials and assignments are conducted online.
Admission Requirements
Prospective candidates must possess any of the following qualifications:
- WASSCE, SSCE, GCE, or NECO (O’ Level) with at least five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- Credits must include English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) of the following: Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Government, Geography, or Business Studies.

- Make a non-refundable payment of ₦25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand Naira only) as the application fee — all payments must be made online through the official LASU portal.
- Complete and submit the online application form.
- Return to the portal to check admission status.
- If admitted, print your admission letter directly from the portal.
Important Notes
- Admission is strictly subject to availability for qualified applicants.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
- Only certificates (not result slips) will be accepted for credentials obtained before 2010.
- The deadline for application submission is Sunday, November 30, 2025.
