The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially released its revised academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session, providing students with a clear roadmap of the academic year. First Semester: September 2025 – February 2026

The first semester begins with new students settling into campus life and ends with final examinations.

  • 24th – Inaugural Lecture
  • 26th – Arrival of new students
  • 29th – Screening and registration for new students
  • 30th – Arrival of returning students

October 2025

  • 2nd – Registration for returning students begins / Lectures commence for all students
  • 6th – Solemn Assembly
  • 8th & 22nd – Inaugural Lectures
