UNILAG Opens Supplementary JUPEB Admission for 2025/2026 Session

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of applications for its 2025/2026 Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) Supplementary Programme, a one-year foundation course designed to prepare students for direct entry admission into 200 level in UNILAG and other partner universities in Nigeria and abroad.

The JUPEB programme serves as a “bridge” for candidates seeking an alternative pathway into higher education. Upon successful completion and strong JUPEB results, candidates may secure admission into 200 level across various faculties, depending on available space.

Entry Requirements

To qualify, candidates must:

  • Have at least five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Present results from one sitting in SSCE, GCE, or NECO.

How to Apply for UNILAG JUPEB 2025/2026

  1. Visit the UNILAG Foundation site.
  2. Open the application portal, and start the UNILAG applications page.
  3. Open the application page and fill the Pre-Application Form to generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN).
  4. Pay a ₦35,000 non-refundable fee at any Nigerian bank using your PRN.
  5. Return to the portal, complete the application, and carefully review entries.
  6. Print two copies of the completed form for records.

Important tip: Keep your PRN and receipts safe—they will be required later.

Entrance Examination Details

Applicants should prepare for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) structured as follows:

  • English Language – 20 questions
  • Mathematics – 20 questions
  • Three subjects related to chosen combination – 15 questions each

That’s a total of 85 questions in 45 minutes. Candidates offering Mathematics as part of their JUPEB subject combinations will write Further Mathematics in the entrance exam.

  • Direct entry admission is subject to course capacity.
  • Additional screening may apply where applicants exceed available slots.
  • The programme is non-residential.
  • Currently, no provision exists for visually impaired candidates.
