General Requirements for All Applicants

• Five (5) O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics
• NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate (where applicable)
• Strong ICT skills (candidates will undergo a computer-based test before the interview stage)

Specific Requirements by Unit

Registry:

• First degree (minimum of Second Class Lower)
• Skills in HR, procurement, grants, media, project management, research admin, counselling, or related areas
• Professional certificates give an added advantage
• Six years’ experience (Assistant Registrar) or three years’ experience (Admin Officer I)

Bursary:

• Accountant I: Degree in Accounting + 3 years’ experience, or Accounting degree + ICAN, ANAN, or ACCA
• Accountant II: Degree in Accounting, or any degree + 2 years’ experience in accounting

Works and Physical Planning:

• Engineer I: B.Sc. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields (COREN registrable)
• Agriculture Officers: Degree in Agriculture/related fields; Agriculture Officer I requires 3 years’ experience
• Technologist II: HND/Degree in relevant science/tech field + registration with professional body
• Technical Assistant: 5 O’Level credits + Trade Test II/NABTEB in a listed craft
• Driver/Mechanic: 5 O’Level credits + Class E license + Trade Test II + 2 years’ driving/mechanic experience

CITS:

• System Analyst II: B.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Medical Centre:

• Medical Officer: MBBS + MDCN registration
• Nursing Officer II: NRN + NRM + 3 years’ experience + NMCN registration
• Pharmacist I: B.Pharm/B.Sc. Pharm + PCN registration
• Medical Laboratory Scientist: B.Sc. MLS + MLSCN registration
• Radiographer: B.Rad/DCR/DIR + RRBN registration

UNILAG Staff School:

• Master II: NCE with Merit or Education degree, or B.A/B.Sc. + PGDE
• At least 2 years’ teaching experience in English, Mathematics, Science, Computer, Phonics, French, or Home Economics

Salary and Service Conditions

• Positions fall under CONTISS 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, CONHESS 7, 8, and CONMESS 2
• Salaries follow the national minimum wage
• Service terms align with the university’s staff regulations
