UNN Post-UTME 2025: Application Begins — Deadline, Eligibility & Full Guide
Nsukka, Nigeria – The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially opened the application portal for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening exercise. This is great news for all UTME candidates who selected UNN as their first choice and scored 160 or above in the 2025 UTME.
If you meet the cut-off and are eyeing a place at one of Nigeria’s premier institutions, here’s everything you need to know about the application process, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.
Who Is Eligible?
- Candidates who selected UNN as first choice institution in their 2025 UTME
- Scored a minimum of 160 in the UTME
Who Should NOT Apply?
UNN has clearly outlined disqualifying criteria. You should not apply if:
- You will be under 16 years of age by 30th September 2025
- You are awaiting results from the Nov/Dec 2025 NECO or GCE
- Your names do not match on O’Level and JAMB documents
Important: UNN will not allow any corrections after submission. Ensure your details and documents are accurate before applying.
Screening Fee
The screening form costs ₦2,000 only. Payments can be made via Remita at any commercial bank or online using an ATM card.
Deadline
- Application Portal Closes: Friday, 15th August 2025 at midnight

How to Apply for UNN Post-UTME 2025
Follow this simple step-by-step process:
- Go to the UNN official website
- Click on “UNN Portal” at the top-right corner
- Choose “Prospective Students”
- Select “Online Application Form for 2025/2026 Admission Screening”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number
- Generate a payment invoice
- Pay via bank or online (ATM card)
- Return to the portal and log in again with your JAMB number
- Fill in your date of birth, personal info, and verified O’Level results
- Provide your exam number and centre
- Upload all required documents (ensure each file is under 100KB)
- Submit and print your acknowledgment slip

You’ll need clear scans of the following:
- Birth Certificate
- Local Government Identification Certificate
- Primary School Testimonial
- First School Leaving Certificate
- JAMB Result Slip
- O’Level Results (WAEC/NECO – single or combined sitting)
- Direct Entry Result (for DE candidates only)
For Direct Entry Applicants
If you’re applying through Direct Entry, take note:
- You must also register via the UNN portal
- Your result should already be verified through NIPEDS, the JAMB verification platform
