BUK Postgraduate Screening 2024/2025
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially announced the screening and registration guidelines for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
If your name appeared on the admission list, congratulations — but the journey isn’t over just yet. This guide breaks down the screening process into simple, actionable steps, so you don’t miss anything important.
Step-by-Step Screening Instructions
Step 1: Log In to the Portal
Visit the BUK portal and log in using the same User ID and Password from your initial postgraduate application.
Step 2: Accept Your Admission Offer
Once you’re logged in, simply click to accept your admission. Don’t delay—this step is crucial.
Step 3: Pay the Acceptance Fee
Pay a ₦15,000 acceptance fee to secure your spot.
Note: Without this payment, you can’t proceed with registration.
Step 4: Download Your Admission Letter & Fee Schedule
After making the payment, download and save:
- Your Postgraduate Admission Letter
- The Full Fee Schedule
Keep both documents handy—they’re essential for the next steps.
Step 5: Upload Required Documents
Scan and upload the following credentials as .jpg files (under 1MB each):
- Birth Certificate
- SSCE Result
- HND/Degree Certificate
Tip: Make sure each file is clear and readable. Blurry uploads will be rejected, and you’ll have to re-upload.
Step 6: Print Your Acknowledgement Slip
Once your documents are approved, print your Acknowledgement Slip.
It contains your registration number, which is required for fee payment and course registration.
Step 7: Complete Full Registration
With your registration number in hand, proceed to pay your full registration fees and finalize the online registration.
Physical Screening at BUK PG School
When visiting the College of Postgraduate Studies for your physical screening, go along with:
- Your admission letter
- SIF, CRF, payment receipt, and acknowledgement slip
- Photocopies of all uploaded documents
- Original documents for sighting
- Two passport photographs (recent and clear)

All payments made to BUK are non-refundable. Make sure to verify all details before proceeding with any transactions.
