Second Semester Schedule: Full Breakdown

Lectures Begin

Start Date: Monday, 23rd June 2025
End Date: Saturday, 30th August 2025
That’s 10 straight weeks of academic work. Be ready.


Mid-Semester Break

Start Date: Monday, 1st September 2025
End Date: Sunday, 7th September 2025
Time to rest and recharge for a week.


Lectures Resume

Start Date: Monday, 8th September 2025
End Date: Saturday, 27th September 2025
Three final weeks of lectures before the exams kick off.


Examination Period

Start Date: Monday, 29th September 2025
End Date: Saturday, 18th October 2025
Students will have three weeks to write all their exams.


What Happens After Exams?

Once the exam period ends, the university begins internal processing immediately:

  • Marking of Scripts: 20th October – 1st November 2025
  • Departmental Board Meeting: 3rd – 7th November 2025
  • Faculty Board Meeting: 10th – 14th November 2025
  • Senate Business Committee Meeting: 17th – 21st November 2025
  • Final Senate Meeting: Thursday, 27th November 2025

New Academic Session Begins

Date: Monday, 1st December 2025
This officially marks the start of the 2025/2026 academic session at Federal University Dutse.
