The university has officially opened admissions for its JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session — a unique one-year foundation programme designed for students who want to fast-track their way into university.
What is JUPEB?
JUPEB is a one-year academic programme that prepares qualified students for direct entry admission into 200 level of a degree course. The best part? No UTME (JAMB) is required. Once you successfully complete the programme and pass the final JUPEB exams, you can gain admission into Edo State University or any other partnering university.
The programme runs for two semesters, and students are required to choose three subjects related to their intended field of study.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must have:
- At least five (5) O’level credit passes, including English Language, in relevant subjects.
- The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
- However, for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) applicants, all five credits must be earned in one sitting only.
