Kogi State Polytechnic Earns Full Accreditation for 18 Programmes, Launches 8 New Courses
Kogi State Polytechnic has received full institutional accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), securing approval for 18 programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year. The landmark achievement was announced at the institution’s 32nd Matriculation Ceremony on January 18, 2025.
In a remarkable move for the polytechnic, NBTE conducted an accreditation exercise from December 18 to 20, 2024, granting full accreditation to 18 programmes across various fields of study. This success is a significant step forward for the institution’s reputation and academic standards.
Full Accreditation for 18 Programmes
The polytechnic has achieved a 100% success rate in its accreditation process. Among the fully accredited programmes are:

Rector Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman expressed immense pride in the polytechnic’s achievements, noting that none of the institution’s programmes hold a denied or interim accreditation status. This underscores the polytechnic’s unwavering commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
Professor Usman also highlighted that 19 new programmes were introduced under the current administration, representing one-third of the polytechnic’s offerings.
