Here’s everything you need to know to ensure your registration is smooth and error-free.
Registration Period: January 6 – 10, 2025
The NYSC portal is open from January 6 to January 10, 2025. Make sure you complete your registration within this window to avoid missing out.
Essential Tips for Locally-Trained Graduates
If you completed your studies in Nigeria, here are some important steps and tips to guide your registration:
- National Identification Number (NIN) Required
Make sure you have your NIN ready. It’s a mandatory requirement for the registration process. - Choose the Right Registration Option
- First-time Registration: Click on “Fresh Registration.”
- Revalidation: If you’ve been deployed in previous batches but didn’t report to camp, select “Revalidation.”
- Incomplete Registration: If you’ve started but didn’t finish your registration, simply click “Login Here” to resume.
- Upload a Clear, Well-Dressed Photo
Your photo will be captured via webcam, so ensure you are dressed appropriately. Blurry images will not be accepted. - Don’t Thumbprint by Proxy
You must personally complete your thumbprint; proxy thumbprinting is not allowed. - Double-Check Your Information
Your Date of Birth, Graduation Date, and Course of Study will appear on your Certificate of National Service. These details cannot be corrected once you are in camp, so make sure they are accurate. - Married Female PCMs
If you’re married and seeking marital concessions, upload your marriage certificate during registration. - Health & Disability Considerations
If you have any health challenges or disabilities, indicate this during the registration and upload the relevant documents. - Monitor Your Registration

Guidelines for Foreign-Trained Graduates
If you completed your studies abroad, here’s how to successfully register for NYSC:
- Start the Registration Process
Visit the https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/ForeignReq.aspx to access the requirements for foreign graduates. - Avoid Multiple Accounts
Don’t create multiple accounts. Stick to one to avoid confusion. - Upload Original Documents
Upload the original copies of your documents, and ensure your name matches exactly as it appears on your certificate. - Pre-Camp Physical Verification
Select a center for pre-camp verification during your online registration. You’ll need to attend this verification after you’ve registered online. - Required Documents for Verification
When attending your pre-camp physical verification, you must bring your degree certificate, transcript, and travel documents. - Translations
If your degree certificate is in a foreign language, make sure to bring the translated version to camp. - Exemption or Exclusion
If you’re exempted from NYSC, you will receive an Exemption Certificate, which you can collect at NYSC National Headquarters in Abuja. If you are excluded from service, print your Exclusion Letter from your dashboard online.
