Scholarship Benefits
- Full coverage of tuition fees, including any mandatory field trip costs.
- A tax-free living stipend of £22,000 to help cover expenses during the study period.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a national of, and residing in, a sub-Saharan African country.
- Plan to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc programme.
- Demonstrate financial need by confirming they cannot afford the program without the scholarship.
- Meet the English language requirements of LSHTM.
- Hold a first degree with at least a first-class or upper second-class equivalency.
- Have an offer of admission to a London-based MSc programme at LSHTM for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Preference will be given to those who show potential to contribute to public health or health-related research in Africa.

The application process is simple and consists of two steps:
- Step 1: Apply for the MSc Programme
Visit the LSHTM website and apply for a London-based MSc programme for the 2025-2026 academic year. Be sure to follow the “How to Apply” section for specific instructions. - Step 2: Apply for the GSK Scholarship
After submitting your MSc application, you will receive an email with a link to the scholarship portal. Log in, search for the “GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders,” and complete the scholarship application by answering all questions before the deadline.

- Late submissions will not be accepted, so make sure to apply on time!
