UNICROSS Announces Matriculation Ceremony for 2024/2025 Freshers
The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), formerly known as Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH), has officially scheduled its Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session. This marks an important milestone for all newly admitted students, as it is the formal induction into the university community.
Key Dates for the Matriculation Ceremony
- Calabar Campus: Thursday, 12th December 2024
- Ogoja and Okuku Campuses: Friday, 13th December 2024
Essential Requirements for Participation
To ensure smooth participation, there are specific requirements that must be met by all first-year students:
- Complete Payment of Fees:
- All newly admitted students must pay their school fees and matriculation fee in full before the ceremony. Students who do not meet this requirement will not be included in the matriculation register and may lose their admission for the 2024/2025 academic session.
- Deadline for Payment:
- The university will not accept any payment after the matriculation ceremony. Students are urged to make their payments on time to avoid complications.
- Registration and Documentation:
- Once fees are paid, students must complete their registration and documentation by visiting their respective departments and faculties. Only students who have made full payments will be allowed to collect matriculation gowns from their faculty officers.
- Return of Matriculation Gowns:
- Matriculation gowns must be returned to faculty officers within two days after the ceremony. Any gowns returned more than one week late will attract a ₦2,000 daily fine.
Code of Conduct During the Ceremony
All students are expected to display proper conduct during the matriculation ceremony. Any form of misconduct will lead to disciplinary action as outlined by the university’s regulations.
