Available Programs for Scholarship Awards
- Undergraduate Scholarships
Eligible Nigerian students can apply for scholarships to study in countries such as Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria.
Fields of study include: - Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics
- Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology
- Architecture, Medicine, Neurology, Pilot Engineering, and more!
- Postgraduate Scholarships
The BEA programme also covers Master’s and PhD scholarships in Russia, China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.
Special Note: Applicants who completed their first degree in Russia are only eligible for postgraduate scholarships in Russia.
How to Apply for the BEA Scholarships
- Visit the official Federal Ministry of Education website.
- Locate and click on the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) icon on the homepage.
- Carefully follow the guidelines and complete the online application form.
- Print the completed form for your records.
Eligibility Criteria: Are You Eligible to Apply?
- Undergraduate Scholarships
- Must have at least seven distinctions (A or B grades) in WAEC/WASSCE, including English and Mathematics.
- Certificates must be from 2023 or 2024 for non-African countries, and from 2024 for African countries.
- Applicants must be between 17 and 20 years old.
- Postgraduate Scholarships
- Must have a first-class or second-class upper degree.
- Must have completed the NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) programme.
- Age limit: 35 years for Master’s applicants, 40 years for PhD applicants.
Important Information for All Applicants
- Many BEA countries use non-English languages, meaning you’ll need to complete a one-year language course.
- For Hungarian studies, applicants can apply for up to two fields of study through the Stipendium Hungaricum website (deadline: January 15, 2025).
- Russian applicants should visit the Education in Russia portal.
- Russian postgraduate applicants must have completed their first degree in Russia.
Documents You’ll Need to Submit
Applicants must upload the following documents in PDF format:
- WAEC/WASSCE results, first degree certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, NIN slip
- A valid international passport (data page)
- Medical report from a government hospital
- Birth certificate, indigene letter, and police clearance (if required)
