The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is now accepting applications for its Direct Entry (DE) Screening for the 2024/2025 academic session. If you applied for Direct Entry and selected UNILAG as your first choice, this is your opportunity to finalize your registration.
The screening is a mandatory step for all candidates seeking admission into any course at UNILAG. Here’s what you need to know about eligibility and the application process.
Who Is Eligible for UNILAG Direct Entry Screening?
To participate in the UNILAG Direct Entry Screening, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- First Choice: You must have selected UNILAG as your first choice in the 2024/2025 Direct Entry JAMB application.
- O’Level Requirements: You must have at least five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at one sitting.
- Age Requirement: You must be 16 years old by October 31, 2024.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Age Restriction: Candidates who will not be 16 years old by October 31, 2024, are not eligible to apply.
- Consistency of Information: Ensure that your personal details (such as name, date of birth, and state of origin) match across all documents.
- Non-Participation: If you do not complete the online registration, your application will not be considered.
- Re-application for Former Students: Students whose admissions were withdrawn due to poor academic performance can re-apply, but only for a different course.
- Expelled Students: Those previously expelled from the university are not eligible to reapply.
How to Apply for UNILAG Direct Entry Screening
Eligible candidates should follow these simple steps to complete the application process:
- Visit the UNILAG Admissions Page: Go to the university’s official admissions website.
- Select Direct Entry Application: Click on the 2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) Application link.
- Log In: Use your Direct Entry Application number as the username and your surname (in lowercase) as the password.
- Generate Payment Advice: Print the payment advice for the ₦2,000 screening fee.
- Make Payment: Pay online or at any commercial bank.
- Complete the Screening Form: Return to the UNILAG portal to finish filling out the form.
- Upload Results: Upload your academic results (First Degree, HND, OND, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level, etc.).
- Review and Submit: Carefully check your details before submitting.
- Print E-registration Slip: After submission, print your Direct Entry e-registration slip.
- Submit to Admission Office: Bring the printed slip and your credentials to Room 174, Senate House, UNILAG, between Monday, October 7 and Friday, November 8, 2024.
