The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) has officially opened applications for the 11th Regular Course Degree Programmes, inviting both male and female Nigerians to join the prestigious academy. This is a unique opportunity for those who are passionate about serving the nation while pursuing a degree in various fields of study.
Application Period: 14th October – 25th November 2024
The online application portal will remain open for six weeks, from October 14th to November 25th, 2024, giving applicants ample time to complete the process.
Eligibility: Who Can Apply?
To be considered for admission into POLAC, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nigerian by Birth: Only Nigerian citizens are eligible.
- JAMB Score: Applicants must have a minimum JAMB score of 180 from the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with POLAC as their first choice.
- Educational Requirements: At least six credits in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or an equivalent, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Age: Applicants must be between 17 and 21 years old as of October 31, 2024.
- Physical and Medical Fitness: Applicants must meet specific physical requirements:
- Male: Height of 1.67m and chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches).
- Female: Height of 1.64m.
- Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be single, not married or pregnant.
- A valid National Identity Number (NIN) and a valid email address are necessary.
How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide
- Visit the Nigeria Police Academy Admission Portal: Begin by generating a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code on the academy’s admission portal.
- Pay the Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of N5,500 (including N2,000 for the POST UTME exam) is required. Payments can be made at any commercial bank in Nigeria.
- Complete the Online Application: Fill out the online application form and upload the following documents:
- SSCE results (WAEC, NECO, etc.)
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- Submit Your Forms: After completing the application, print your form, along with the Guarantor Form, and submit them in person at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.
What’s Next After Application?
Once your application is submitted, the selection process unfolds as follows:
- Aptitude Test: All applicants must undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at the POLAC ICT Centre. The exact date will be communicated later.
- Physical Screening: Those who meet the CBT requirements will be invited for a physical screening at the academy, where they must present original copies of their documents.
- Medical Screening: Successful candidates from the physical screening will proceed to an automated medical screening.
- Interview and Selection: After passing the medical screening, candidates will undergo an automated interview process to finalize selection.
