Edo State University Offers Scholarships for 2024/2025 Academic Session: How to Apply and Who Can Benefit

Edo State University (EDSU), located in Uzairue, is inviting applications for scholarships aimed at promoting academic excellence and assisting indigent students from Edo State for the 2024/2025 academic session. These scholarships offer a unique opportunity for bright students to pursue higher education with financial support.

Scholarship Categories

1. Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA)
   This prestigious scholarship is for top-performing candidates who choose EDSU as their first choice in the UTME. Only five students with exceptional academic results, scoring at least 260 in the UTME, will be awarded this scholarship.
2. Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA)
   Designed for indigent students from Edo State, the ISSA covers tuition fees for all programs, excluding Medicine, Nursing, Law, Medical Laboratory Science, and Engineering. Applicants must score at least 180 in the UTME and provide proof of financial need.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have taken the 2024/2025 UTME.
• UFSA requires a minimum score of 260, while the ISSA requires 180 or higher.
• Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English.
• Proof of indigency is required for ISSA candidates from Edo State.
• Students must meet specific course entry requirements.

Note: These scholarships do not apply to oversubscribed courses such as Medicine, Law, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Engineering.

Screening and Interview Process

• Date: Monday, 25th November 2024
• Time: 9:00 AM
• The screening will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT) assessment.
