FUD Launches 2025/2026 Students’ Benevolent Scholarship for Indigent Students
The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 Students’ Benevolent Scholarship Scheme, aimed at supporting students facing financial difficulties. The scholarship seeks to assist vulnerable students struggling to pay their registration fees and maintain enrollment.
A circular issued by the Office of the Vice Chancellor on 16 February 2026 invites eligible students to apply. According to the notice, the Benevolent Committee will carry out the selection process, ensuring that only truly indigent students benefit from the scheme.
Who Can Apply
The scholarship targets students who are unable to pay their registration fees due to financial hardship. Eligibility will be determined through a thorough screening by FUD’s Benevolent Committee, which will assess each applicant’s financial need and academic status.
Required Documents
Interested students must:
- Obtain and complete the application form attached to the circular.
- Submit a stamped result from the previous semester, which is mandatory for consideration.
- Follow the guidance of the Students Relation Officer, Sani Sabo Idris, who signed the circular.
Submission Deadline
Applications must be submitted by Monday, 23 February 2026. Late submissions will not be considered. Students are advised to submit their forms and required documents on or before the deadline.
Who Is Not Eligible
The scheme explicitly excludes:
- Students who have already paid their registration fees.
- Students with a verified or disbursed status from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
