UNIOSUN Opens Global Recruitment for Consultants, Medical Officers and Health Professionals at MOFAMRTH

Osun State University has launched a major national and international recruitment drive for consultants and healthcare professionals through its teaching hospital, the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital (MOFAMRTH), Osogbo, Osun State.

The university is inviting qualified candidates across multiple medical and allied health disciplines to join what it describes as a fast-growing medical, research and training hub in Nigeria.

MOFAMRTH operates as a modern tertiary hospital with 250 admission beds, 20 clinical departments, and five non-clinical departments, supported by contemporary medical facilities.

According to the institution, its vision is to become a leading medical research and training hospital in Africa by strengthening professional education and promoting global competitiveness in healthcare delivery.

Consultant positions and specialties

MOFAMRTH is recruiting Consultants in the following specialties:

  • Anaesthesia
  • Anatomic and Molecular Pathology
  • Haematology and Blood Transfusion
  • Radio diagnosis
  • Internal Medicine (Cardiology, GIT, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrine)
  • Dermatology

  • Preventive Dentistry
  • Restorative Dentistry
  • Surgery
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Consultant requirements:

Applicants must:

  • Be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
  • Present evidence of NYSC completion
  • Have passed Part II examinations of either the West African or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (or equivalent)

Medical officer vacancies

Openings are available for Medical Officers in:

  • Emergency Medicine (A&E – Adult and Children)
  • Family Medicine
  • General Medicine
  • Intensive Care Unit
  • Paediatrics
  • Medical Microbiology and Parasitology
  • Surgery
  • Clinical Pathology

Requirements:

Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognised institution, be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, possess a current practice licence, and present NYSC discharge or exemption certificates.

Pharmacy, laboratory and allied health roles

Several allied health positions are open:

Pharmacist

  • Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
  • Completed one-year internship
  • Registration and current licence from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
  • NYSC certificate required
    Salary: CONHESS 09 (₦2,388,908 – ₦3,238,831 annually)

Medical Laboratory Scientist

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum Second Class Lower)
  • Completed internship
  • Registered with Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
  • NYSC certificate required
    Salary: CONHESS 09

Radiographer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography (minimum Second Class Lower)
  • Internship completed
  • Registered with Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria
  • NYSC certificate required
    Salary: CONHESS 09

Physiotherapist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (minimum Second Class Lower)
  • Internship completed
  • Registered with Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board
  • NYSC certificate required
    Salary: CONHESS 09

Nursing and technical health positions

Available roles include:

  • Senior Nursing Officer
  • Dental Nursing Officer II
  • Dental Technologist
  • Renal Technologist
  • Nursing Officer II
  • Dialysis Nursing Officer II
  • Health Information Management Technologist II
  • Assistant Anaesthetic Technologist/Technician

Most roles require relevant degrees or HND qualifications, professional registration, a valid practice licence, and NYSC discharge or exemption certificates.

Salary structure:

  • CONHESS 07: ₦1,871,883 – ₦2,533,504 annually
  • CONHESS 05: ₦1,082,063 – ₦1,349,620 annually

Additional allowances are approved by the university governing council or the federal government.
