Ekiti State University SUG Suspends NEOLIFE, FHG Activities on Campus From Feb. 11, 2026
The Student Union Government (SUG) of Ekiti State University has announced an immediate campus-wide suspension of all activities linked to NEOLIFE and its affiliate group, Faitheoric Global (FHG), effective Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The directive, communicated through an official memo to the student body, orders students to steer clear of all meetings, promotions and programmes connected to the two groups within the university community.
What the suspension covers
According to the SUG memo, the suspension applies to every form of NEOLIFE and FHG engagement on campus, including:
- All activities and operations
- Meetings and gatherings
- Promotional campaigns
- Organised programmes
In practical terms, the union has placed a complete freeze on NEOLIFE- and FHG-related events within the campus. Students are expected to avoid joining, hosting or promoting any such activities until further notice.
Why the SUG took action
The SUG said the decision followed “careful observation and multiple reports” concerning the groups’ operations on campus.
Evidence reviewed by the union allegedly showed that NEOLIFE and FHG activities were affecting students’ academic focus, mental well-being and financial stability. The memo cited persistent recruitment drives, unregulated meetings held at odd hours and reports of pressure on students to prioritise business engagements over their studies as major concerns.
Directives to students
Following the announcement, students have been strongly advised to refrain from participating in or promoting any NEOLIFE- or FHG-related activities within university premises. The order remains in force until the SUG issues a new directive.
Warning on sanctions
The union warned that any student found violating the suspension would face appropriate disciplinary sanctions in line with campus regulations.
The SUG did not specify how long the suspension would last but indicated that further updates would be communicated to the student community as the situation develops.
