Southern Delta University Sets Feb 22–Mar 1 for Maiden Convocation Ceremony
Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro — formerly known as Delta State University of Science and Technology — has announced the dates and full schedule for its maiden convocation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session, marking a historic milestone in the institution’s development.
The week-long convocation programme will run from Sunday, February 22 to Sunday, March 1, 2026, featuring seven major events that include religious services, academic lectures, exhibitions, and the formal award of prizes. University authorities have urged all staff to actively participate in the activities.

The maiden convocation represents the first of its kind since the institution’s transition to Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro.
