DSUST Enforces “No School Fees, No Examination” Rule as Exams Begin March 2, 2026
Students of Delta State University of Science and Technology (DSUST), Ozoro — now officially known as Southern Delta University — have been placed on notice. As first-semester examinations draw near, the university management has announced the strict enforcement of its long-standing policy: “No school fees, no examination.”
The directive, which takes full effect from Monday, March 2, 2026, means that any student who has not fully paid their tuition and other required fees will not be allowed to sit for examinations, regardless of their level or programme.
What the University Is Enforcing
According to an official reminder released by the university, DSUST has activated full compliance with the “No school fees, no examination” rule for the current academic session.
To ensure there are no loopholes, management has inaugurated a Task Force Committee for School Fees Drive, which will be stationed inside and around examination halls. The committee has been mandated to physically enforce the policy on the examination floor.
In clear terms:
Students who have not paid all outstanding fees should not expect access to the examination hall.
Key Examination Date and Payment Deadline
The university highlighted one critical date that every student must note:
- First Semester Examinations Begin: March 2, 2026
All outstanding tuition and school fees must be fully paid on or before this date. Management emphasized that payment timing matters, as students may still be turned back even if they arrive at the exam venue without proof of cleared fees.
What Happens If You Don’t Pay
DSUST made its position unambiguous:
- Unpaid students will be denied entry into examination halls
- Such students will not be allowed to write any examination papers
- Getting to the venue does not guarantee access without fee clearance
The Task Force Committee has been instructed to apply the rule without exceptions.
Message From Management to Students
University management has urged all categories of students to treat school fee payment as a top priority to avoid unnecessary academic setbacks.
The notice serves as a final reminder before full-scale enforcement begins on examination day. Students are advised to settle their fees early, avoid last-minute issues, and ensure a smooth examination process.
Bottom line: Pay early, avoid embarrassment, and stay focused on your academics.
