ESUI Announces Resumption Date for Returning Students as 2025/2026 Session Continues

Edo State University Iyamho (ESUI) has officially announced the physical resumption schedule for returning students as the 2025/2026 academic session continues. The announcement outlines specific dates for hostel (hall) check-in and the commencement of physical lectures, urging students to plan ahead to avoid disruptions.

According to the university management, returning students are expected to resume on campus between Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, 2026, strictly for hall check-in and completion of accommodation and clearance procedures.

University authorities emphasized that all hostel and clearance formalities must be completed within this two-day window, warning that late arrival could affect students’ ability to settle in before lectures begin.

Hall Check-In Schedule for Returning Students

All returning students are required to check into their respective Halls of Residence on the following dates:

  • Saturday, February 7, 2026
  • Sunday, February 8, 2026

During this period, students are expected to:

  • Check into their assigned halls of residence
  • Complete accommodation documentation
  • Finalize all clearance procedures

The university has made it clear that these processes should not extend beyond the stated dates.

Date Physical Lectures Begin

ESUI also confirmed that physical lectures will commence immediately after the check-in period.

  • Monday, February 9, 2026

Students are expected to be fully settled and ready for academic activities, as lectures will begin promptly across faculties.

Important Advisory to Students

Management advised students to plan their travel early to ensure smooth check-in and clearance. Late resumption, the university noted, may disrupt hostel allocation and academic participation.

Members of the university community are encouraged to take note of these dates and comply accordingly. ESUI added that any further updates or changes will be communicated strictly through the university’s official channels, urging students to rely only on verified sources for information.
