UNIDEL Sets Feb 9–27 Dates for 2025/2026 First Semester Exams, Issues Key Directives to Staff and Students

The University of Delta (UNIDEL) has officially announced the dates for its 2025/2026 First Semester Examinations, fixing the exercise for Monday, February 9 to Friday, February 27, 2026, across all faculties.

The announcement, which follows the Senate-approved and amended academic calendar, outlines critical responsibilities for lecturers, faculty officers, and students—making compliance non-negotiable as the exams approach.


UNIDEL First Semester Exam Schedule

  • Start Date: Monday, February 9, 2026
  • End Date: Friday, February 27, 2026
  • Coverage: University-wide

Students and staff are urged to keep these dates firmly in view, as missing any requirement could disrupt participation in the examinations.

Course Advisers Told to Complete Registration Validation

UNIDEL management has directed all Course Level Advisers to immediately conclude the online validation of students’ course registrations.

University officials stress that this directive is central to the examination process and must not be treated as optional or delayed.

CA Upload Deadline for Lecturers

All course lecturers are to upload students’ Continuous Assessment (CA) scores within the approved window:

  • CA Upload Period: January 19 to January 23, 2026

No extensions were mentioned, and lecturers are expected to complete the process strictly within the stated timeframe.

Faculty Officers to Collect Exam Materials

Faculty Officers have been instructed to collect all examination materials from the Examinations and Records Division and promptly deliver them to their respective faculties.

The university emphasized that timely movement of materials is essential for a smooth examination process.

Strict Adherence to Exam Timetables

Faculty Examination Officers have been reminded to ensure strict compliance with the official examination timetable.

UNIDEL warned against unauthorized changes, late starts, or time clashes, stressing that coordination is key to maintaining order during the exams.

No School Fees, No Exam Entry

The university reiterated a firm stance on fees and registration:

Students who have not paid their school fees and completed registration will not be allowed into examination halls.

Complete registration remains the final clearance for exam entry.

Vice-Chancellor Commends Staff

In the statement, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Stella Chiemeke, expressed her appreciation to both academic and non-academic staff for their commitment and hard work toward the successful completion of the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
