YABATECH Moves Part-Time Academic Activities Online as Full-Time Exams Hold (Jan 19–30, 2026)

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has announced a temporary shift of part-time academic activities to online platforms as the institution conducts its 2024/2025 Second Semester Examinations for full-time students.

The management said the decision is to ensure a smooth and orderly examination process on campus, stressing that no part-time student should visit the campus during the examination period.

Why YABATECH Made the Change

According to the college, the full-time second semester examinations are scheduled to run from Monday, January 19 to Friday, January 30, 2026. Due to the intensity and scale of these examinations, campus facilities will be fully engaged by full-time students.

To avoid congestion and maintain examination integrity, YABATECH has therefore moved all part-time lectures and academic activities to available online channels for the duration of the exams.

What This Means for Part-Time Students

The institution was clear in its directive: part-time students are not expected to come to campus until the examinations are concluded.

Part-time students are advised to:

  • Attend lectures and academic activities strictly through approved online platforms
  • Stay away from campus throughout the examination period
  • Ignore rumours or unofficial messages suggesting physical attendance

Management emphasized that any information not coming from official YABATECH channels should be disregarded.

Important Notice to Part-Time Lecturers

YABATECH also directed all lecturers handling part-time programmes to take note of the adjustment.

This means:

  • Teaching, lectures, and academic engagements must remain fully online
  • Communication with students should continue through approved digital platforms
  • Physical class meetings are suspended until the exams end
