UNICROSS Registration 2025/2026: Step-by-Step Guide for Fresh Students
The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has released the official registration procedure for all newly admitted Year One students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement, issued by the Office of the Registrar, provides detailed steps to ensure smooth registration and compliance with university guidelines.
Step 1: Pay School Fees and Confirm Payment
Fresh students are required to pay their full school fees for the session. After payment, students must print the online receipt and present it to the Faculty Finance Officer for confirmation. This confirmation is mandatory before proceeding to subsequent steps.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents to the Faculty Officer
After payment verification, students must report to their Faculty Officer with the following documents:
- Confirmed payment receipt for school and acceptance fees
- O’Level certificate(s) or statement of result (originals + four photocopies)
- Evidence of age (Birth Certificate or Age Declaration)
- Certificates of Local Government and State of Origin
- JAMB Admission Letter
- University Admission Letter
- Letters of Attestation
- Receipt of Faculty and Departmental registration fees
These documents, sometimes referred to as “registration papers” or “clearance documents,” are essential for completing the registration process.
Step 3: Purchase UNICROSS-Branded Files
Students are required to pay N1,000 to the Faculty Finance Officer for the issuance of five UNICROSS-branded files.
Step 4: Certificate Verification
Students must submit their O’Level certificate(s) or statement of result, along with the corresponding scratch card(s), to the Faculty Certificate Verification Officer. For students combining multiple results, each result must include a scratch card.
Step 5: Online Course Registration
After document verification, students can complete their online course registration via the official UNICROSS portal
Warning Against Unauthorised Payments
UNICROSS cautioned students not to make any unauthorised payments for certificate verification, departmental fees, Students’ Union Government (SUG) contributions, or other charges, as all approved fees are included in the school fees.
Staff Compliance
All staff involved in the registration exercise have been directed to adhere strictly to the approved procedures. The university has emphasized that disciplinary action will be taken against any staff who fail to comply.
Message from the Vice-Chancellor
Professor Francisca Bassey, Vice-Chancellor of UNICROSS, congratulated the newly admitted students and formally welcomed them to the university community, wishing them success in their academic journey.
