OOU Sets January 22–31, 2026 for 35th Convocation Ceremony in Ago-Iwoye

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, has officially announced that its 35th Convocation Ceremony will hold from Thursday, January 22 to Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, on behalf of the University’s Council, Senate, staff and students, has invited the general public and members of the academic community to witness one of the biggest academic celebrations in Ogun State.

The convocation is for students who completed their programmes in the 2024/2025 academic session.


What the OOU 35th Convocation Will Cover

According to the university, the ceremony will feature:

  • Award of Bachelor’s degrees
  • Award of Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD)
  • Award of Higher degrees (Masters and PhD)
  • Conferment of Honorary Degrees

Convocation Fees for Graduands

Graduands must pay the approved fees before collecting their gowns and certificates.

Gown Collection and Return

  • Gown collection starts: Wednesday, January 21, 2026
    (From College/Faculty Officers)
  • Gown return deadline: Wednesday, February 4, 2026

Any graduand who fails to return the gown after this date will face strict sanctions and a penalty of ₦6,000 per week.

Important Seating Instruction

All graduands and invited guests must be seated by 9:00am on each ceremony day to ensure a smooth and orderly programme.

With ten days of academic, cultural and social activities, the OOU 35th Convocation promises to be one of the most memorable graduation ceremonies in the university’s history. Students, parents, and the public are encouraged to plan ahead and be part of the historic celebration in Ago-Iwoye this January 2026.
