UNIMAID Issues Final Notice on Unpaid Registration Fees, Sets January 30, 2026 Deadline

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has issued a final and urgent warning to students who are yet to complete their registration payments, stating that failure to do so by Friday, January 30, 2026, will result in them being treated as having voluntarily withdrawn from the university.

The notice was released by the Office of the Registrar and is contained in an official circular with reference number R/ADM.10/VOL.XIV.

UNIMAID Draws the Line on Outstanding Registration Charges

In the circular, UNIMAID made it clear that the deadline is final and applies strictly to students whose records still show unpaid registration-related charges.

The university warned that students who fail to comply with the directive will be “deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from the University.”
This means affected students could lose their studentship status automatically if their fees are not cleared before the deadline.

Who Is Affected?

The directive applies to all UNIMAID students who have:

  • Outstanding registration fees, or
  • Any pending registration-related charges on their school records.

If your registration status is incomplete due to unpaid charges, this circular applies to you.

What Students Should Do Now

UNIMAID is advising affected students to:

  • Check their registration status immediately,
  • Confirm any outstanding charges, and
  • Pay all pending registration fees on or before Friday, January 30, 2026.

The university has made it clear that no excuses will be entertained after the deadline.

Why This Matters

The phrase “voluntarily withdrawn” carries serious academic consequences. Once applied, it means the student is no longer officially recognized as enrolled at UNIMAID — a status that could affect academic records, eligibility, and future re-registration.

Bottom Line

If you are a UNIMAID student with any unpaid registration fees, January 30, 2026, is your final chance to regularize your status and remain in the university.

Missing this deadline could cost you your place at UNIMAID.
