UNILAG Extends 2025/2026 Screening and Registration for New Students — Here’s the Updated Schedule

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially extended its 2025/2026 screening and registration exercise for newly admitted undergraduate students, giving fresh UTME and Direct Entry candidates two additional weeks to complete all required checks.

The process, which was initially scheduled to end earlier, will now run from Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 12, 2025, according to an internal update from the institution.

Fresh Timeline, Same Faculty-Based System

UNILAG announced that the screening exercise remains strictly faculty based, meaning each faculty will continue handling the process for its respective freshers at designated dates, venues, and times within the university campus.

New students are strongly advised to follow the specific timetable released by their faculties to avoid undue delays.

Only candidates who have not yet participated in the screening exercise are expected to take advantage of this extension. Those already screened do not need to return.

Required Documents for UNILAG Screening

To ensure a smooth process, newly admitted students are expected to arrive fully prepared with the following documents:

  • JAMB Admission Letter
  • UTME or Direct Entry result slip
  • Required O’level result printouts
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Proof of payment for approved UNILAG charges
  • Any additional document listed in the official guidelines

These documents help UNILAG verify each candidate’s admission status, identity, and compliance with entry requirements.

Candidates are encouraged to read the complete UNILAG Screening and Registration Guidelines for a full breakdown of procedures and additional instructions.

Who Must Still Report for Screening?

All UTME and Direct Entry students who have not previously attended their screening session must report during the newly extended dates.

Students should keep copies of every document submitted and monitor further updates from their faculty or department to avoid missing any important instructions.

By following the updated timetable and adhering to the required procedures, new students can complete their clearance smoothly and transition into campus life at the University of Lagos without delays.
