Explanation

Six days after the great confession at Caesarea Philippi. Jesus took with Him Peter, James and John and went up to the Mountain with them. On this Mountain. He was transfigured before them and His face shone like the sun and His garment become as white as light. Immediately Moses and Elijah appeared and discussed with Jesus. Peter on seeing the three i.e. Jesus, Elijah and Moses, suggested that three booths be made there by him. One for Jesus, one for Elijah and one for Moses. Moses presence at the transfiguration represents the old Jewish law, while Elijah represents the prophets, Jesus represents the new law and the mediator between the old and the new orders. Matthew17:1-13
