In the third year that Jehoiakim was king of Judah, king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia attacked Jerusalem and surrounded the city. the King Nebuchadnezzar had a gold statue made and ordered that everybody must bow down and worship the gold statue and anyone who does not bow down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego disobeyed the orders and they threw them into the blazing furnace. Suddenly Nebuchadnezzar leapt to his feet in amazement and saw four men walking about in the fire. Jews? They showed no sign of being, hurt and fourth one looked like an angel. Daniel 3:1-15
