Fungus is a non green plant which exists either as a saprophyte or parasite. Saprophytic fungi are fungi which cause the decay of dead plants and animals. Examples are Rhizopus or bread mould found as yellow patches on bread, mucor found on abandoned food like garri, rice, soup etc. Parasitic fungi are filamentous fungi which grow on human skin, causing Eczema, in between toes causing athlete foot, on head as circular patches causing Tinea capitis
