This is Tropical rainforest zonewhere there is abundant rainfall with high relative humidity. Trees areabundant. There are also epiphytic plants and climbers. Epiphytes are plantsthat grow on tree trunks. They have roots or rhizoids which grow on the surfaceof the tree trunks and absorb water which drips down the trunk and accumulatedorganic matter on the trunk eg Mosses, ferns and sometimes grasses.Climbers are plants that takeroot from the soil but the stems are weak and so twine or wound themselvesround the trunk of trees to be able to get to the top and expose their leavesto the sun eg fig. Figure II is sudan savanna while figure I is sahel savanna.
