Adaptation is any change in the structure, function (physiology) and behaviour of an organism that makes the organism better suited to it's environment. physiology is the scientific study of vital functions of living organism ( plants and animals) such as nutrition, respiration, excretion and reproduction. Evolution is the totality of the adaptive changes which have taken place in 2 population over a long time which leads to the development of new species from earlier ones. Succession is the orderly changes which occur in plants and animals of a given area for a long period of time from the initial stages of colonization until a stable or climax community is established.
