This is cured by adding of iodine supplement inour diet.Exophthalmic goitre is caused by the over secretion ofthyroxine which increases the rate of body metabolism. This makes the individualirritable nervous with bulging eyes It is cured through surgical removal ofpart the thyroid gland or destruction of some of the thyroid cells byradiation. Ricket: is a deficiency disease caused by lack of vitamin D in ourdiet. Scurvy is also a deficiency disease caused by lack ofvitamin C in our diet.
