The respiratory path in mammals begins with the nostril which leads into the pharynx which in turn leads to the larynx (voicebox) which is short and mads of strong cartilage. The larynx leads into the trachea which branches into two bronchi. Each bronchus enters a lung where it branches into several bronchioles which in turn branch into finest air sacs called alveoli.
