Explanation

Cloning is the process of producing a whole organism from a parent cell. The .first -mammal to be cloned experimentally from the body cell of an adult was a sheep (Dolly) in 1997. The nucleus containing DNA was extracted from a male cell and inverted into an 'empty' egg cell (i.e egg in which the nucleus had been? removed) using the technique of nuclear transfer. There constituted egg cell was stimulated to divide by an electric shock and implanted into the uterus of a surrogate mother ewe. The ewe (sheep) gave birth to a clone of the original sheep. A done is a. plant or animal that is produced artificially from the ceil of another- plant or animal and is therefore exactly the same as the parent organism from where the ceil is taken. Cloning of human being is banned because it is not morally a welcome development. Cloning is an asexual multiplication of a cell not a tissue.
