Parasitic plants have sucking tube called haustoria withwhich they suck the manufactured food in the phloem of the host plant e.gDodder plant or cassthya filiformis and mistletoe plants. Saprophytic plantsfeed on dead organic matter. They secrete enzymes through their rhizoids whichdigest the food before they absorb it (extra cellular digestion) e.g.. rhizopus.
