The vascular tissues in higher plants are the phloem for translocating- food and xylem for water conduction. Transpiration pull is the force generated by the loss of water from the leaves of plant. This loss sets up pressure in the leaves that causes water to rise from the xylem tissue in the stem to the xylem of leaves of the plant.
