Explanation

The Sporophyte generation is the dominant fern plant. The plant is well established. It has true roots, stems and leaves with vascular bundles. It is also chlorophyllous and photosynthesis. It is mainly terrestrial. Prothallus is the heart-shaped young gametophyte generation of a moss plant. The sporophyte generation reproduces asexually by producing sporesborne bysporangium. When the sporesgerminate, they produce structures called protonemas. Each protonema bears numerous buds which develop into prothalli (singular prothallus). Matured gametophyte generation of a moss plant has leaf-like structures that bear male reproductive organs called antheridia (singular' antheridium). The female reproductive organ is the archegonium.
