The leafy shoot has stomata for stomatal transpiration. The lost water is seen as droplets on the inner lining of the bell jar. This is not seen in the leafless shoot. In option A, loss of water through gutation occurs in plants during the rainy season when the plants absorb more water that can be lost through transpiration. The excess water is lost through the edges or margins of the leaves which bear specialised glands called hydathodes. This is called gutation
