Explanation

A Prokaryotic cell is one that lacks true nucleus, nuclear membrane or envelope, mitochondria, chloroplast " etc. Examples are bacteria and blue green algae. Bacteria have rigid cell wall made up of carbohydrate and protein. Protein is usually synthesized by ribosomes and so they have ribosomes. Some bacteria are chemosynthetic that is they synthesize food from simple inorganic substances using chemical energy while others are heterotrophic. Thus they lack chloroplast. Blue green algae such as Nostos, Anabaena and Oscillatory that live in fresh water have chlorophyll which is not in chloroplast. The chlorophyll is dispersed as particles throughout the cytoplasm.
