1. Who Can Register for the 2025 NECO SSCE?

The 2025 NECO SSCE Internal exam is strictly for final-year secondary school students. This means:

✅ School-based students only
❌ No private candidates allowed
✅ Nigerian students abroad can register — if they’re enrolled in a school

2. How Schools Should Log In

Already registered? Use your school’s NECO portal login details.
Login issues? Use the “Forgot Password” or “Dispute” feature.

New schools must:

  • Create a NECO school account using an official school email and phone number (not café or personal emails).
  • A default password will be sent via email.
  • Login before starting registration. No exceptions.

3. Offline App: The Right Way to Register Students

✅ Delete any previous NECO app.
✅ Download the 2025 version from the official NECO SSCE portal.
✅ Install it and enter student bio-data offline.
✅ Each student photo must be in uniform.
✅ Follow the app’s user manual step-by-step.
✅ Do not upload until payment is completed.
✅ Upload to get each student’s registration number.

4. School Activation: The Must-Do Step Before Payment

Before you can pay or upload student data, your school must be activated by a NECO State Coordinator starting Monday, 11 November 2024.

Submit these documents to your Coordinator:

  • Signed validation list
  • Signed photocards
  • Approved entry schedule
  • Subject analysis

Without this, registration cannot continue.

5. How to Make Correct Payment

???? All payments must be through NECO’s TSA via Remita.

❌ No bank transfers
✅ Use these payment methods:

  • ATM Card
  • USSD
  • Wallet
  • Bank branch
  • Internet banking
  • eNaira

➡️ After payment:

  • Get your Remita e-receipt
  • Visit your portal’s transaction page
  • Click “Verify Bank Payment”
  • Enter your 12-digit RRR number
  • Once verified, assign students for upload

Note: Register at least 20 students first or pay a ₦70,000 unviable centre fee.

6. Why Photocards Are Non-Negotiable

Each student must have a final photocard showing their registration number.
They’ll need it throughout the exam — no ID, no exam.
