If you’re a full-time student at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) and you’ve been stressing about the fast-approaching exams, here’s some much-needed relief:
The first semester exams for the 2024/2025 academic session have been postponed.

Yes, you now have two extra weeks to prepare, revise, or finally start reading that course material you’ve been putting off.

What Really Happened?

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the YABATECH Academic Board held a crucial meeting. At the end of that meeting, a major decision was made:
The first semester examinations will no longer begin on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Instead, they will now commence on Monday, August 25, 2025.

This change affects all full-time students of the institution.

Why the Sudden Shift?

According to the Academic Board, the move is meant to give students ample time to prepare.
Whether you’ve been attending all your lectures or you’re just realizing exams are around the corner, this is your golden opportunity to get back on track.

Let’s face it — two extra weeks can make a big difference if used wisely.

What You Need to Do Now

All students and staff are expected to adjust to the new academic calendar. This includes:

  • Lectures
  • Class assignments
  • Clearance processes
  • All exam-related activities

No delays. No excuses.

If you’re a JAMB student currently in YABATECH, take this change seriously. Time flies when you’re not paying attention. Don’t wait until the night before to start studying.
