What Are The Jamb Syllabus For English
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has not released a specific syllabus for English language for the current year. However, based on past years’ syllabus, the topics to expect in JAMB English Language exam are:
- Comprehension passages and questions
- Lexis and Structure (grammar and vocabulary usage)
- Oral English (pronunciation, stress, and intonation)
- Essay Writing
- Test of Reading and Summary Skills (TORS)
- Test of Listening Skills (TOLS)
In each of these areas, JAMB expects candidates to demonstrate their understanding of the English language, including the proper usage of grammar and vocabulary, as well as their ability to communicate effectively in English.
Additionally, candidates should prepare thoroughly for the exam by studying past questions and practicing with mock exams to familiarize themselves with the format of the exam.
