UNIZIK Announces Final Course Registration Deadline for 2025/2026 Session — Students Get Urgent Reminder
Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has issued an important notice to all students regarding the official course registration deadline for the 2025/2026 academic session, warning that the portal will close permanently once the deadline elapses.
The announcement came through an internal memo released by the Office of the Registrar on November 21, 2025, outlining key dates, who the directive affects, and what students must do if they encounter portal or dashboard errors.
Registration Portal Shuts December 18 — No Extensions
According to the Registrar, all students must complete their course registration on or before Thursday, December 18, 2025.
After this date, the course registration portal will not reopen for the 2025/2026 academic session, meaning any student who fails to register will not be able to add courses later.
The university emphasized the importance of early registration, noting that last-minute delays often lead to missing courses, timetable disruptions, and avoidable stress close to examinations.
Who Is Required to Register?
The directive applies strictly to all students who have made part payment of their school fees, whether they are new or returning students.
This includes:
- Freshers who have paid part of their school fees
- Returning students who have paid part of their school fees
Students who have not yet made the required part payment are expected to complete that step before proceeding with course registration.
Missing Courses on Your Dashboard? Here’s What to Do
Some students may notice missing or incorrect courses on their course registration dashboard. The memo provides a clear action plan:
Students should immediately contact their Head of Department (HOD) to:
- Verify the list of approved courses
- Confirm correct course codes and levels
- Ensure the correct courses are uploaded to the portal through the appropriate unit
The university advises students to report issues early to avoid complications near exams or after the portal closes.
Technical Issues? UNIZIK Support Portal Is Open
For students experiencing login problems, page loading issues, or other technical errors, UNIZIK has provided a dedicated support channel.
Students are instructed to visit the UNIZIK support portal to:
- Submit support tickets
- Report portal or dashboard errors
- Receive step-by-step assistance from the technical team
To speed up the process, students should provide clear information such as matric number, programme, and what action triggered the error.
