The University of Maiduguri is set to welcome a new batch of students at its 43rd Matriculation Ceremony, scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2025. The event will take place at 10:00 AM at the university’s Convocation Square. This ceremony marks an exciting milestone for first-year students, who will officially become part of the university community.
Important Details for New Students:
- Collection of Academic Gowns:
Starting from Tuesday, March 4, 2025, all newly admitted students can collect their academic gowns through their respective College or Faculty Officers. These gowns are an essential part of the ceremony, and participation in the matriculation is mandatory for all first-year students. - Return of Academic Gowns:
After the ceremony, gowns must be returned by Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Students are reminded to take extra care of their gowns, as any loss or damage will result in a full replacement fee, as determined by the university’s Bursar.
