University of Lagos Releases 3rd Batch DLI Admission List for 2025/2026, Screening Begins Feb 16

The Distance Learning Institute of the University of Lagos has officially released its third batch admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session, setting the stage for a new round of student screening beginning Monday, February 16, 2026.

Successful applicants are required to confirm their admission status on the UNILAG DLI admission list page, and report for physical screening at the institute. University officials stress that screening is mandatory and must be completed within a strict one-month window.

Screening schedule: Dates, time and venues

According to the institute, Batch Three screening will run Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting February 16, 2026.

Screening venues include:

  • Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, Distance Learning Institute Building, University of Lagos
  • Block A Classroom (Ground Floor), Distance Learning Institute Building, University of Lagos

Candidates are to report to the Administrative Unit on the 2nd Floor of the DLI Building for the exercise.

Documents required for screening

Admitted candidates must present original copies of the following:

  • Application form
  • Primary or secondary school testimonial
  • O’Level certificate(s)
  • Higher degree certificates for Direct Entry (HND, OND, NCE, ICAN and other professional certificates)
  • NYSC certificate, exemption, or exclusion certificate (Direct Entry candidates)
  • Birth certificate or sworn affidavit issued before the admissions advertisement
  • Marriage certificate, affidavit for change of name, and newspaper publication (married female candidates only)

Documents required after fee payment and registration

After paying the required fees, newly admitted students must provide the following for registration:

  • Application form
  • Coloured, laminated admission letter
  • Photocopy of testimonial (primary or secondary)
  • Student information form
  • Photocopies of O’Level certificate(s)
  • Higher degree certificates for Direct Entry
  • NYSC certificate/exemption/exclusion certificate (Direct Entry)
  • Online-generated letter of acceptance
  • Online-generated biodata form
  • Approved online course registration form
  • Handwritten and signed letter of preparedness to pay all service charges
  • Original reference letter from employer or sponsor
  • Reference letter from a lawyer, clergy, imam, or senior civil servant
  • Online-generated student payment receipt
  • Marriage certificate and related name-change documents (married female only)
  • Birth certificate or qualifying sworn affidavit
  • Four passport photographs (white background; name and matriculation number written on the back)
  • JAMB slip

One-month deadline and fraud advisory

The university warns that failure to attend screening within one month may lead to forfeiture of admission, urging candidates to act promptly.

New students are also advised to remain vigilant against fraud. The University of Lagos emphasizes that it does not use third parties or agents for admission processing. For official clarification or enquiries, candidates should visit the Office of the Institute Secretary directly.

With screening set to begin immediately, admitted students are encouraged to prepare their documents early to avoid last-minute delays and secure their place in the 2025/2026 session.
