The University of Ibadan (UI) has officially opened the payment of acceptance fees for candidates offered provisional admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.
All admitted candidates who have generated their admission letters on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000 through the University Admission Portal.
Payment Timeline
The portal will be accessible from Monday, 10 November 2025, to Friday, 5 December 2025. Candidates are strongly urged to complete their payments within this period, as no extensions will be granted. Candidates who have not yet generated their admission letters on CAPS must do so before initiating payment. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstance.
Required Documents for Acceptance Fee Payment
Candidates must upload the following documents while completing the payment process:
- O’Level result(s)
- WAEC or NECO scratch card PIN/serial number for result verification
These documents will be used during the clearance exercise to confirm eligibility for matriculation.
How to Pay the UI Acceptance Fee
- Log in to the UI Admission Portal using your application credentials.
- Select a payment option:
- Card Payment: Pay directly using a debit or credit card.
- Bank Branch: Print the payment slip from the portal, pay at any designated bank, then log back in to reconcile your transaction.

Clearance and Matriculation Process
After payment, candidates must present original credentials to designated Schedule Officers at the Undergraduate Admissions Office for clearance. The specific dates for the clearance exercise will be announced later.
