University of Benin Announces Dates for Computer-Based General Studies Exams in May 2025
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially released the schedule for the 2025 General Studies (GST) exams, which will take place in May 2025. All exams will be computer-based and spread across six days. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for your exams.

The exams will occur on the following dates:
- 14th May 2025
- 15th May 2025
- 16th May 2025
- 29th May 2025
- 30th May 2025
- 31st May 2025
Exam Schedules by Level
The University has provided different exam schedules for students based on their level and curriculum.
100 Level Students (New Curriculum)
100 level students will write the following exams on:
- GST111 — Communication in English (14th May 2025)
- GST112 — Nigerian Peoples and Culture (15th and 16th May 2025)
Carryover Students
Carryover students will take exams from both the old and new curricula, including:
- GST111 — Use of English (14th May 2025)
- GST111 — Communication in English (15th May 2025)
- GST112 — Philosophy and Logic (16th May 2025)
- GST112 — Nigerian Peoples and Culture (16th May 2025)
200 Level Students (New Curriculum)
200 level students will sit for the following exams:
- GST212 — Philosophy, Logic and Human Existence (29th May 2025)
- GST312 — Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (30th and 31st May 2025)
