UNIUYO Publishes 2023/2024 Admission List
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has released the long-awaited admission list for the 2023/2024 academic session on its website portal.
Candidates who applied for admission into UNIUYO’s undergraduate programs and participated in the post-UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status by logging into the portal with their JAMB registration details.
Successful candidates have been directed to proceed with the acceptance of their admission offers before the stipulated deadlines. This will include payment of acceptance fees and other requisite processes.
However, UNIUYO has made it mandatory for newly admitted students to present their original credentials like certificates and result transcripts for verification before registration can be completed.
The university authorities have also stated that all fresh students must undergo a comprehensive medical examination as part of the admission requirements before enrollment formalities are finalized.
In a statement, UNIUYO congratulated all admitted candidates and provided guidance on the next steps while encouraging those not offered admission to explore other opportunities or reapply in future admission cycles.
The exercise was highly competitive, with the university receiving over 45,000 applications to fill just 8,500 available spaces across various faculties and departments.
UNIUYO prides itself on a merit-driven and transparent admission process that adheres strictly to guidelines stipulated by regulatory bodies in the education sector.
Dedicated admissions help desks have been established on campus and online platforms to attend to inquiries and provide support to candidates, parents, and other stakeholders regarding the admission process.
Successful applicants are expected to complete all registration procedures ahead of the scheduled resumption in late September for the mandatory orientation program and formal start of academic activities.
How To Check UNIUYO 2023/2024 Admission List
Those admitted via the JAMB CAPS portal will automatically be admitted when the list is published on the school’s website. Follow the procedures outlined below to check the admission list/status on your JAMB CAPS portal:
- Visit the JAMB CAPS portal efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
- Input your email address and password
- Click on the Check Admissions Status tab
- Input your JAMB Registration number, select your examination year, and click on the Check Admission status button
- If your status is showing a congratulatory message, accept the admission and printout your admission letter
Update: Candidates can only check their admission status on the JAMB CAPS portal for now however, once the names of admitted persons are uploaded on the UNIUYO Official website, this article will be updated immediately.
- Visit the University of Uyo portal uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals
- Click on the Admission status button
- Input your Jamb Registration number
- Click on the Check Status button
Those admitted are urged to print out their admission letters and proceed to pay the acceptance fee immediately. Those whose admission status is showing Not Admitted are urged to check back frequently so as to know when their status changes.
